Who does God say I am for kids?

As children, we often wonder about our identity and purpose in life. It’s a natural part of growing up to question who we are and why we exist. But what if we could find the answer to these questions in the words of God? In this article, we will explore the beautiful truths that God has revealed about us, helping kids understand their identity and value in His eyes.

God’s Word is full of promises and descriptions that define who we are in Christ. One of the most powerful declarations is found in Ephesians 1:4, which says, “For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him in love.” This verse tells us that God has chosen us, not based on our actions or worth, but simply because of His love for us.

God sees us as His beloved children. In 1 John 3:1, it says, “See what kind of love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” This means that we are not just followers of God; we are His children, cherished and loved by Him.

Furthermore, God describes us as His workmanship. Ephesians 2:10 tells us, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” This means that God has a purpose for each of us, and He has equipped us with the abilities and talents to fulfill that purpose.

God also sees us as forgiven and justified. In Romans 8:1, it says, “Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” This means that because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, we are forgiven of our sins and declared righteous before God.

As kids, it’s important to remember that our identity is not based on our appearance, performance, or popularity. Instead, it is rooted in the truth that God loves us, chose us, and has a purpose for our lives. By embracing these truths, we can live with confidence and joy, knowing that we are valued and cherished by the Creator of the universe.

So, who does God say I am for kids? He says we are His beloved children, His workmanship, forgiven, justified, and chosen for a purpose. Let’s hold onto these truths and live out our lives with gratitude and love, reflecting the light of Jesus in everything we do.
